Chicago Audubon Spring Photo Contest


 (The winning photos must have been taken in Illinois and posted during the month of May 2018.)

Next Thursday at midnight will be the deadline to post your images for the contest.

Chicago Audubon Society (CAS) is happy to announce the Third Annual Chicago Audubon Spring Photo Contest. All levels of photography experience are invited to join us. If you are not already a member, send a request to join CAS’s Public Group on Facebook at choose your one favorite image to be entered in the contest and post it on the CAS FB Public Page June 1st-4th. Tag the the photo with #CAS. Please, no photos of nesting birds, owls or pileated woodpeckers.

The winning images will need to be sent to CAS in full resolution for publication in the CAS Compass Newsletter. We recommend 240+ dpi for the best online quality. The winning photos will be published on the CAS website ( and the two Facebook pages on June 11.

PRIZES: All four Winners Receive a One Year CAS Membership & CAS Birds of Chicago Checklist.

First Place: Chicago Botanic Garden - “A Day at the Garden,” includes all that the winner will need for a very special visit to the Garden, including the following:

•    Free parking on day of visit.

•    Most recent edition of Keep Growing, the member magazine and program guide.

•    Four tram tour tickets, valid for either the Bright Encounters Tram or the Grand Tram.

•    Four tickets to the Model Railroad Garden or Wonderland Express, the indoor holiday train exhibition.

•    A coupon for $10 off the membership of your choice.

Second Place: Morton Arboretum - Six Day Passes. 

Third Place: Bird Song Ear Training Guide by John Feith & Chicago Audubon Hat.

Honorable Mention: Chicago Audubon Hat.
